Our photographer, Briana Brough, outdid herself in this one, starting with her mouth-watering photos of eight of our favorite breakfast dishes in town on Page 20. Community and Events Editor Dana Lange is your guide.

She also captured the creative exuberance of the six folks gracing our cover who represent the future of Durham cuisine. (Thanks to The Cookery for allowing us to use their West Chapel Hill Street digs for the photo shoot!) Frequent Durham Magazine contributor Emily Matchar tells you their stories in fine fashion.

The Eberdt family was gracious enough to allow Briana and Dana into their home to show off their fabulous kitchen renovation that didn't stop at the backdoor. Their equally fabulous back patio, complete with fire pit and hot tub, serves as Party HQ for family and friends. (Page 39)

Bri (did I mention she outdid herself?) also stopped by the likes of the Washington Duke Inn, Beyu Caffé, Geer Street Garden, City Beverage et al. for a photo essay on all the ways Durham enjoys beer, wine and spirits. (Page 50)
