City Council member Eugene Brown and Executive Director of Preservation Durham, Bob Ashley, show off their darts skills

Despite the rainy weather, preservation enthusiasts gathered at Kotuku Surf Club at 703 Rigsbee Ave. for an Historic Happy Hour hosted by Preservation Durham. Folks could partake in a beverage and food provided by King's Sandwich Shop while enjoying the company of friends and other architecture lovers in the new night spot that features an historic bar from the 1920s.

Historic Happy Hours are scheduled on selected evenings from October through June and provide a networking forum for those interested in learning about preservation-related issues in Durham. Check out Preservation Durham's website for more information.

I had a great time. The Chicago Dogs T.J. brought from Kings were great. This is a great new bar in Durham. I urge everyone to go check it out.
