Rock & Shop

Leah Josephson and Becca Sliter browse through jewelry at the Rock & Shop Market

Durhamites young and old rocked and shopped the afternoon away at the Rock & Shop Market this past Saturday. Crowds gathered on the corners of Geer Street and Rigsbee Avenue to grab some grub from the abundant number of food trucks present, and then headed inside Fullsteam Brewery, Motorco Music Hall and The Trotter Building for the indoor marketplace of more than 100 local designers and businesses.

The marketplace, produced by designer Michelle Smith and her online shop indieNC, also hosted a fashion show in addition to bands Phil Cook & His Feat and The Small Ponds.

Check out our slideshow of hip vendors and customers shopping to support local business.
