  My walking partner and I have walked around east campus at 5:30 in the morning for almost 7 years. When the Wells bought the Cranford house, we began to watch each change and over the years we have felt invested and proud of what the Wells have done, not only for this property but for all of Durham. We silently encouraged, supported and applauded them as the house became more of its real self and manifested its former beauty. Once done, we celebrated mornings as we walked the perimeter of the campus and appreciated the details and design of the lovely old house. We felt like proud parents when the flowers started to bloom! The Wells have added immeasurably to Durham and we thank them for it and wish them many years of happiness.
