The Cotton Room at Golden Belt
A new all-inclusive event venue is slated for Durham's Golden Belt campus, promising beautiful views, the ultimate in tempting cuisine, event planning and fabulous decor.
We got a sneak peek at the inspired sage-colored venue and the cuisine, both developed by Durham native Michelle Aldred and her other half, chef Dodd Aldred. The couple are co-owners and operators of Triangle Catering and the new venue The Cotton Room at Golden Belt. The 11,000-square-foot venue will serve a "Southern-inspired and classically executed" menu, and will accommodate 440 people in a stand-up reception and 350 people in a sit-down dinner. The new space will makes its formal debut in October. Reservations already are being accepted.
Enjoy your own sneak peek from our pictures below, and look out for more on the new space in the August/September 2009 issue of Durham Magazine. DM
