Mark your calendars: Chapel Hill clothing designer Marcela Slade will hold a fashion event 7:30 p.m. Friday July 10 on the third floor of Building 2 in Durham's Golden Belt. The show is free. Expect to see lots of skirts - a focus of Slade's.

Here's an interesting tidbit about the show - models will be walking to a personal set of love songs the designer unearthed from a high school mixed tape. Who doesn't love mix tapes? Before and after the show, (doors open at 7 p.m.) those who come can also look forward to gourmet wine and cheese provided by 3CUPS.
