There is quite a buzz out and about regarding the newest venture of Matt Kelly. The executive chef and owner of Vin Rouge is on the cusp of opening the doors to Mateo Tapas. The new small plates restaurant and bar will be located downtown at 109 W. Chapel Hill St., the former location of the old book exchange. We've even read that they had to find homes for all the old books before beginning the transformation to restaurant.
After following their Twitter feed and stalking the website we see that Mateo Tapas is set to open sometime this summer and we couldn't be more excited. Maybe it's all the photos of baby goats and crazy chickens that they keep posting online that holds our interest.
