McConnell Golf members from Treyburn and staff on February 16 at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina
McConnell Golf owns eight premier private golf clubs in the Carolinas, including Treyburn Country Club, and has dedicated itself to helping out many charities throughout its clubs’ communities.
As a way to strengthen its “footprint” of giving, McConnell Golf recently implemented its “Footprints on the Green” program, which had its members and staff from Treyburn out volunteering their time to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina February 16 and 23.
The program is designed to elicit a strong and supportive effort by McConnell Golf’s collective membership and staff, and is intended to become a driving force in the local community where McConnell Golf clubs reside. It was designed with all age groups in mind, to serve as a learning tool for the youth, a team-building activity for the McConnell Golf staff and a friendship-building platform to strengthen membership connections.
Other scheduled volunteer opportunities in Durham include the Triangle March for Babies on April 27 and a family dinner at Ronald McDonald House of Durham on July 22. Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Dress for Success and more are also organizing dates with McConnell Golf.
