Valerie Jackson and her daughter, Joi, co-owners of Hairizon in Five Points, are beginning the process of rebuilding after an SUV crashed into their beauty supply store just before 1am this morning.
According to reports from ABC11, the SUV had gone the wrong way on Morris Street when it crossed West Main Street and crashed into the business at 341 W. Main St. The driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, and is being charged with driving while impaired, driving while his license was revoked and going the wrong way on a one-way street.
Hairizon's website, Facebook and Twitter are still active, and today they tweeted for customers to direct all purchases to their website.
Anna Branly, owner of The Cupcake Bar directly across from Hairizon, said she believes Val and Joi are looking for a temporary space. If anyone can help or support in any way, email Hairizon.
