Ann Soltan, an intern at Coon Rock, approached Chela Tu, co-owner/operator of Chirba Chirba, with the idea to collaborate on an event with food trucks. Ann says the goal is “to unite food lovers across the board. I think all parties involved in the event are creators of delicious food and think the combination of unique recipes and ingredients will be a stellar way to bring people together around local food. That's the point of local food - to strengthen community relationships by eating together and remembering that eating is an agricultural act.”
The Food Truck Farm Feast, as it's been dubbed, will take place from 12:30pm to 4pm on Saturday, March 3, at Motorco Music Hall and again on March 4 at Cliff's Meat Market in Carrboro – also Chirba Chirba Dumpling’s weekly Sunday location.
