Monica Hunter House

The 2008 Monica Hunter House was designed by architect Bill Waddell and built by Andrew Krichman

The Great Homes feature in Durham Magazine provides an intimate look at some of the most attractive homes in our city. This Saturday, Triangle Modernist Houses offers a live tour of four unique Hope Valley homes from 1-4pm - a chance to see Great Homes-caliber houses up close and in person.

As TMH’s 29th tour of architect-designed Modernist houses, this circuit spotlights a brand new home, a 4-year-old home, and two mid-century moderns that have been renovated, one of which is for sale. Meet the architects and builders, including Ellen Cassilly, Bill Waddell, Andrew Krichman, Sanjeev Patel and Rick Allen, along with sponsors that serve the design industry.

Parking is free in the lot at St. Stephen’s Church on Rugby Road. Two free shuttles are offered, or you can walk or bike yourself to the houses. Photography is allowed at all locations, inside and out, so take as many photos as you want. Tour tickets are issued on a timed-entry basis every 20 minutes and are $14.95 in advance and $20 the day of the tour. Children carried or in strollers are free.  For more information, call 919-740-8407 or click here.
