The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham faculty, business and field professionals were invited to browse through student portfolios to see what they had created while completing their studies at the college in a private preview session at the Durham Convention Center last Friday. Afterwards, family, friends, fellow students and the public got the opportunity to check out the more than 45 portfolios and celebrate the students’ accomplishments.
Later, more than 60 students graduated in one of the Grand Ballrooms at the Convention Center with either an associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, interior design, web design and interactive media, fashion marketing or fashion marketing and management. The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham opened its doors in 2008 and this was the first group of students who began their course of study at the new school to graduate with a bachelor's degree.
