Bull City Burger Jekyll and Hyde

The 100% pasture-raised beef burger, topped with half Evil white cheddar cheese and red pepper sauce, half with Kind yellow cheddar and roasted poblano pepper sauce, will be featured at Bull City Burger and Brewery for the next five days, as a tribute to the Jekyll & Hyde musical on stage at DPAC till Sunday.

The burger is served on a bed of British “chips" (fries) with Old Bay spice and Tiny Farm lettuce on the restaurant’s house baked bun. I headed down to East Parrish Street to try it out while watching the Duke vs. Clemson game. The duke frites I ordered on the side, while delicious, were unnecessary, as my burger came loaded with spicy fries. The Old Bay spice combined with the red and poblano pepper gave the burger the right amount of mild heat, which I quenched with the brewery’s delicious Regulator Doppelbock.

If you have tickets to the show, I’d recommend dropping by Bull City Burger first for dinner to get a preview of a split personality under a black top hat (yes, it comes to your table under a hat).

Thank you

Thanks Durham Magazine for letting folks know about the Jekyll & Hyde burger. Always having fun and looking for ways to promote Durham and the great things we have to offer as a city.
