DJS Lawn and Landscape operated through cellphones from their trucks for 25 years. The company, which offers lawn maintenance, landscape design and clean up services, didn't have a physical office or a front yard to maintain of their own.
That changed this year. Earlier this month, DJS moved into its first office, located at 3200 Croasdaile Drive, Ste. 104. Darrell Slaugther, owner of DJS, had been looking to establish a home base for a long time. He hopes the building will improve organization and the company's record of excellent customer support.
"Since we are now more centrally located within our service area," Darrell explains, "we can react even faster when someone wants to meet in person." DJS serves Durham, Orange, Wake and Person counties.
Darrell also says that the move was necessary because DJS continues to grow. Despite the sluggish conditions of the economy, the company still hires workers and purchases new equipment. The entire team will operate out of the new Durham office.
