Vin Rouge Eggs Oscar

Vin Rouge * Eggs Oscar • $13.95 Never has fancy-schmancy been this stick-to-your-ribs good. This signature dish starts with a toasted English muffin topped with two perfectly poached eggs. Grilled asparagus is placed atop the eggs and the whole thing is then bathed in a thick, lemony hollandaise sauce with large lumps of – wait for it – crabmeat. What room is left on the plate is filled with pommes frites sprinkled with sea salt and a handful of mixed greens gently tossed in a light vinaigrette.

If your kitchen pantry is beginning to look like the cereal aisle at the Harris Teeter, perhaps it’s time to snap, crackle and pop yourself out of that breakfast rut. Lucky for you, Bull City restaurants take that whole “most important meal of the day” thing seriously. See the slideshow for a few Durham Magazine faves, in no particular order.

UMMMMM -- Good looking!

Can't wait to get this issue. Breakfast, my favorite meal of the day, anytime of the day. Just looking at the photo makes me hungry. Great job, Matt and team!
