Winterfest 2013

Ronald McDonald House Executive Director Oie Osterkamp with Ronald McDonald and Geoff Krouse, president of the RMH Board of Trustees

The Ronald McDonald House of Durham’s annual Winterfest Gala, its largest fundraiser of the year, drew about 550 guests Friday evening and raised more than $256,000 for the organization.

Attendees were decked out in their summer bests, with seersucker suits and sundresses at every turn, for this year’s “Sweet Coastal Nights” theme at the Angus Barn Pavilion in Raleigh. Chef Walter Royal prepared a delicious Southern menu complete with coastal mixed greens, mandarin oranges, pecans and raspberry vinaigrette salad, beef tenderloin with red wine jus, shrimp and grits and brown sugar bread pudding for dessert.

Check out our photos from the evening in the slideshow to the left.
