Go ahead, give in to the craving: This fried chicken's for a cause.
Rise Biscuits and Donuts hosts a pop-up chicken dinner next Tuesday and Wednesday, March 5 and 6, to benefit SEEDS. For $9.95, you'll get half of a fried chicken with Romesco Sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, N.C. collard greens and a sweet potato biscuit. Then choose from a famous Rise doughnut: either chocolate, blueberry or cinnamon sugar cake. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the dinner will go to SEEDS, a nonprofit educational community garden. Dinner will be served from 5-8pm.
