Blake Hubbard passed away in January after a tragic accident. He would have celebrated his 15th birthday on April 9. So, on that date, more than 600 people came out to Hope Valley Country Club for an event called the HUB, to remember him and raise money for a new school and community tennis center to be built at Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill, which Blake attended. There was a 5K run/walk through Hope Valley, plus golf and tennis tournaments. That evening, more than 300 friends of Blake's and his parents, Jeff and Patty, joined together for a reception in the celebration of Blake's life.
