Community leaders and representatives from more than 15 Triangle-area corporations sponsoring Durham Nativity School's Third Annual Scholarship Fund Benefit Concert with Kirk Whalum, Kevin Whalum and special guest Nicole Henry, enjoyed a VIP reception last Friday in the Connie Moses Ballroom at The Carolina Theatre before the show. The reception was catered by Sage & Swift, with a soul food theme of barbecue sliders, chicken salad sandwiches, deviled eggs and more in honor of Kirk's hometown of Memphis, Tenn.
