There are 26 new suites to furnish in the Ronald McDonald House of Durham before families begin moving in. To encourage donations, Smitten … a sweet boutique is hosting a housewarming event Friday, Aug. 24.
“We’re seeking everything from pots and pans to trash cans, sheets, pillows, coffee makers, shower curtains, bath mats, etc.,” says Nancy Arne Jones, director of development and communications at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham.
Smitten is offering a 40% discount to folks who purchase an item from RMHD’s wish lists at Target or Amazon. Just bring your receipt to the shop next Friday. The items can be shipped directly to RMHD or dropped off at the House at 506 Alexander Ave.
