Bull City Forward, the Institute for Emerging Issues and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina began collecting submissions for this year’s Health Innovation Challenge in the spring. They asked entrepreneurs across the state to develop, implement and scale innovative, high-impact ideas to support healthy lifestyles and reduce obesity.

Eleven finalists completed the final pitch round on September 14, and three winners were chosen to win $20,000 each: IN-R-FOOD, The Walking Classroom and Sqord. All were invited to a recognition ceremony at Bull City Forward for the chance to network, congratulate the winners and meet with social entrepreneurs and community leaders as well as the judges and partners in the challenge.

Take a look at our slideshow of pics from the ceremony.
