Eastern Triangle Farm Tour

Slow things down a bit during this jam-packed weekend and take a trip to a few of the 23 sustainable farms in Durham, Wake, Chatham, Franklin, Granville and Person counties on the Eastern Triangle Farm Tour, beginning tomorrow and continuing till Sunday, from 1-5pm both days.

The self-guided tour allows you the freedom to choose which farms to visit, in whatever order you wish to visit them. Tour highlights include: urban community gardens; a goat cheese dairy; friendly baby animals; fields of gorgeous, late-summer, organic vegetables; fun activities for children; mushrooms; bee hives; hay rides; chicken tractors; and much more! Bring a cooler along to take home some of the farm-fresh products many farms will have for sale.

Tickets are $25 per vehicle or cycle group in advance or $30 this weekend. Or, pay $10 per farm, available for purchase at the farms during the tour. Tour tickets are good for both days, and can be purchased at any Triangle Whole Foods Market, Harmony Farms Natural Foods or by clicking here.

Check out the interactive map and plan your adventure!
