A chocolate lover's dream - the dark chocolate torte at Four Square, enjoyed during last year's Triangle Restaurant Week
Don’t know about you guys, but Triangle Restaurant Week, which begins Monday, is on my radar long before it rolls around in January (or before its June equivalent, for that matter). My friends and I collaborate on where we want to go most, bouncing ideas and recommendations off of one another, before finally settling on one or two places to try out.
We make an occasion out of it, getting dressed up all fancy-like and bringing a camera to get a few pics of the group (apologies to all the wonderful waiters who have obliged us photo-wise). It’s not only an excuse for us all to get together; it’s an opportunity to go on a culinary adventure of sorts, taste-testing the multitude of reasons Durham is one of the best foodie cities in the nation – and in the running for Southern Living’s Tastiest Town of the South, which you should all be voting for daily!
Out of the 19 participating Durham restaurants, we’re thinking of heading to Gregoria’s Kitchen, Pop’s and possibly Bleu Olive. You can find a full list of the restaurants here, though some still haven’t finalized their menus. Tell us in the comments which eateries you’re planning on patronizing, and we hope to see you at dinner next week!
