Our History in Stitches – Thursday – March 10 – African-American Quilt Circle kicks off its 15th anniversary festivities with a quilt exhibit featuring artwork that’s inspired by the quilters’ interpretation of people, places and events that have shaped AAQC’s history. On Thursday at 7pm, members of the organization will share their quilting experiences and discuss how the quilt group has influenced their quilting life in an open panel discussion. Light refreshments will be served. AAQC invites the public to meet the quilters and discuss their artwork at the reception for the exhibit on Friday from 6-9pm. Annual Semans Lecture – Thursday, 7pm – One of America’s most highly regarded photographers, Burk Uzzle, gives the annual Semans Lecture.
