Composer and conductor Eric Whitacre, a celebrity to many high school and college music departments, brought his talents to Duke Chapel Thursday evening, leading college and high school musicians in a benefit concert.
The composer conducted the Duke Chorale, the Duke Wind Symphony and about 200 Durham high school choral students from Riverside, Jordan, Northern and Carrboro high schools, Durham School of the Arts and North Carolina School of Science & Math in many of his own compositions.
